About Me

My name is Garrick Hall.  My wife Holly, our six children, and I own and operate a small dairy farm in northern Utah.  We began dairying about 14 years ago when we rented my grandparents' old dairy and bought our first 50 jersey heifers.  We have since purchased our own dairy just a few miles from where I was raised and have grown the dairy to approximately 150 milking cows.  I have always wanted to be able to raise my family on a farm and teach them the value of hard work and the responsibility of caring for the animals and the land.  Our children are a very important part of our dairy and can often be found helping with a variety to chores.

As a family we enjoy athletics especially basketball (both playing and watching) and can often be found cheering for our Utah State Aggies.

For several years I have been involved with the Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Rancher program.  I was able to serve for two years as the Chairman of the Utah YF&R committee, and have enjoyed the friends I have made and the experiences I have had with the YF&R.

Recently I have been able to participate in the American Farm Bureau’s Partners in Agricultural Leadership (PAL) program.  This has been an amazing experience for me as I have learned so much and been able to associate and learn with and from some of the best young Agricultural leaders in the country.

I hope to be able to continue to serve my industry in a way that allows my children (if they so chose) to be involved with agriculture and raise their families in the same way I am raising mine.  At the same time helping to produce a safe, nutritious food supply for the world.
